Acclaimed singer, songwriter, and worshiper Sadé Emoni returns with her most personal work yet: a bold new single titled “Phase,” out now on all major streaming platforms.
Marking her debut in the Christian R&B genre, “Phase” is more than a song — it’s Sadé’s testimony in melody. With smooth acoustic instrumentation and raw, heartfelt vocals, the single chronicles her radical transformation and unwavering commitment to walking with Christ.
“When I gave my life to Jesus in 2020, it wasn’t just a passionate moment,” Sadé shares. “It was a complete heart shift. ‘Phase’ is my way of affirming that this isn’t just a season — my faith is rooted, and it’s for life.”
Born and raised in New Jersey in a family of gifted singers, Sadé was immersed in gospel music from the start, performing with her family group, The Gospel Angels, and earning national attention at just 15 years old with a Golden Ticket to Hollywood on American Idol Season 10. Her powerhouse vocals also earned her a spot on Kelly Rowland’s BET series Chasing Destiny and stages including the Apollo Theater, WBLS Circle of Sisters, and Harlem Week.
After years of success as an R&B artist, Sadé experienced a life-altering encounter with God in 2020. Choosing to leave behind the industry path she once pursued, she removed her entire R&B catalog from streaming services to walk in a new identity rooted in Christ.
Today, Sadé Emoni brings that same vocal excellence — shaped by influences like Chaka Khan and Jazmine Sullivan — into a new purpose: glorifying God and edifying the Body of Christ through music marked by awe, surrender, and truth.
