Benjamin William Hastings Releases New Worship Album ‘How I’d Sing It On A Sunday’

NASHVILLE, TENN.
Multi-talented artist and worship leader Benjamin William Hastings, has released an incredible 8 track album in partnership with Worship Together called How I’d sing it on a Sunday. This collection of reimagined songs is poised to empower worship leaders and inspire congregations worldwide, offering a fresh perspective on his impactful work.

“I have a few different musical personalities,” shares Benjamin William Hastings. “Folk, rock, acoustic, classical; even country but when it comes to my ‘Benjamin William Hastings’ music I try my best to morph them all together. The challenge with that is when it comes to worship, some flavors just aren’t that conducive to a modern church service. I used to try to rebel against that… and I think a part of me is still passionate about pushing the genre musically forward (or even fighting against the fact that it should be known as a genre at all) but at the end of the day; as a worship leader I want to arrange in a way that’s helpful for the room and as a songwriter I wanna write songs that are helpful for worship leaders in their churches. That’s the heart behind this project. To take songs that I think will work in your church and contextualize them so they’re useful in that setting. You can sing them however you want and I’m just humbled you would want to. So for what it’s worth, this is ‘how I’d sing it on a Sunday’.”

As a songwriter, Hastings has impacted the worship genre greatly with widely acclaimed songs such as Hillsong UNITED’s RIAA Certified Platinum Single, “So Will I (100 Billion X)” and Brandon Lake’s No. 1 single and RIAA Platinum single, “Gratitude,” among many others. He has written songs for Brandon Lake, Cory Asbury, Hillsong Worship, Hillsong UNITED, Hillsong Y&F, Rend Collective, Mack Brock, and more. His songs have been streamed globally more than 1.5B times. He has more than 196M solo career streams.

Fans can catch Benjamin William Hastings on the Air1 Worship Now Tour this fall with Phil Wickham, Charity Gayle and Josh Baldwin. Visit his site to get tickets before they’re gone.

“I am Humbled and honestly fired up to be part of the Air1 Worship Now Tour this October. I’ve got a feeling these nights are gonna be something really special—not just because of the absolute legends I get to share the stage with, but because I believe something powerful happens when a city gathers in unity. Over the last little while, I’ve felt a real stirring—a renewed passion for worship and what it means to bring songs before God again. And for that reason this feels timely for me and maybe for you? If so, come be part of what I’m praying will be a truly memorable tour!”
