Ellie Holcomb Releases New Children’s Album ‘Sing: Spring Songs’

NASHVILLE, TENN. (MARCH 21, 2025) Award-winning author and songwriter Ellie Holcomb releases her fourth children’s album, Sing: Spring Songs, a companion album to her latest top-selling children’s book, Spring Sings.

“This album feels like a joyful celebration of the hope we all have because of the Easter Story,” shares Ellie Holcomb. “There’s a song that goes along with the book, as always on my kids’ records, and the rest of the record feels like both a party and a blessing to send families on their way, singing melodies of hope in their hearts.”

Produced by Nathan Dugger, this album includes seven songs, five of which are originals, and a unique bluegrass version of the classic hymn “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today.”

Holcomb adds, “I’ve always loved this song, but it has often felt very formal and choral to me when I’ve heard it in church. I loved having it sound more like a front porch party song because the lyrics carry some of the best news ever. I hope that kids will freshly hear the words and be able to make connections both in Easter services, and as they go outside and look at God making the earth new each spring…and be reminded of the story of Jesus dying and then walking out of the grave to make a way for ALL to know life and light and love forever.”

She released her beautiful picture book earlier this year and it climbed to the No. 1 new release on the “Children’s Easter Books” chart on Amazon after release. Spring Sings showcases Holcomb’s use of her beloved lyrical writing style to encourage young readers to watch as the world slowly wakes from winter – to know that the new life of spring also retells the story of God’s Son.
“We all know what it feels like to walk through winter seasons, but winter never gets the final word. Spring always sings a song of hope, reminding us that God loves to make all things new,” shares Holcomb.
